When I heard that Sheraton was opening a new hotel in San Gabriel, I was really excited because that meant a new wedding venue in the San Gabriel Valley. I love working with local venues, so it was on my to do list to visit sometime. I never expected that fate would bring me to be the photographer of their grand opening!
I had met Candace from Love Is Sweet Events when I was the photographer for the Langham Wedding Vendor Appreciation. She is on the Sheraton San Gabriel's preferred vendors list, so she was one of the coordinators who was asked to be a part of the grand opening. Candace was in charge of creating the wedding ceremony set up to display on the second floor courtyard. I'm so thankful that she thought this would be the perfect opportunity to work with me!
On the day of the grand opening, wedding professionals, politicians, investors, and friends joined to see the newest hotel in San Gabriel. I met some familiar faces as well as new friends, and loved shooting all of the festivities. Thank you to the team that put this together! Here are a few of my favorites from the day :)
Loved the couple from our styled shoot! Katie and Dennis were perfect models :)
This robot gives you directions in the hotel, takes your luggage, and more!
Can you believe how amazing that ceiling looks?
On the left is Candace! :) So happy I met her, and got to be a part of the event.
The other photographer working was Adrian from Let's Make a Memory. He was my second shooter for Lam and Will's wedding. I love working with familiar faces.
Wanda Chan is the new general manager of the Sheraton San Gabriel. She has been the manager of so many award winning hotels, and was such a sweet person to work with.
Sheraton's team was so much fun to work with!
Left is Carmen, the director of catering and who coordinated with me for the event.
Recognize my Tuesday's Together friendors? It's Carol from The Blushing Details, Cynthia from Beauty by Bon Bon, and Tina from In The Clouds Events.
In the middle is Dee Lee, who coordinated the reception portion.
On the left is Fred, who is the Director of Sales & Marketing. He was so nice, and made sure all the vendors were well taken care of!
The lion dance was perfect because Chinese New Years was last weekend! I loved that they integrated Chinese traditions into the grand opening.
The food at the Sheraton was amazinggg!
So many politicians and amazing people spoke at the event-- it was an honor to see all these people who are making a huge difference in our local community.
Special shout out to the vendors from the ceremony styled shoot:
