They dined on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Each hour for only 5 minutes, the Eiffel Tower has a twinkling light show. As Juan and Laura finished their meal, they arrived at the bottom perfectly at the time of the light show. It seemed like the perfect moment for a proposal, but Juan didn't because this moment was a decoy.
They planned only to go to Paris for a week, but he knew that England was on Laura's bucket list. He also predicted that she would spontaneously decide that they should visit England while they were in Europe. As they walked the streets of England, they came across a gorgeous bridge and decided to take some photos. They took a few shots using the self timer on their Go Pro. For the last shot, Laura waited for the self timer to go off. She told Juan that she thought he might have accidentally set the camera to record video instead of taking photo. At that moment, he got on one knee, and they got the perfect proposal video.
I loved hearing this story for so many reasons. I love how well Juan predicted Laura's plans. It was also funny to hear that what most people would have thought would be the perfect proposal spot ended up not being their spot. He chose a more meaningful spot that they'll remember forever.
Thanks so much Laura and Juan for letting me shoot your engagement session, and telling me about your proposal story :) Hearing these are why I love weddings so much!
