Los Angeles Engagement | Vivian + Lawrence

Before my couples book me, we usually meet up for a client consultation to discuss their wedding timeline. During this meeting, I always ask what their favorite snack is because I'm a huge foodie. When Vivian and Lawrence told me their favorite snack was Hot Cheetos and Ruffles Cheddar Cheese chips, I knew it was meant to be because those are my go-to chips! Besides sharing a love of the same foods, we instantly clicked. I felt like I was reconnecting with old friends when I was hanging out with them. 


Their proposal story was so sweet. They have been together for 7 years, so they already share a home and their dog Chewie (pictured above). On Vivian's birthday, Lawrence set out tea light candles and rose petals in their backyard. She was very confused why he wasn't letting her inside the house, but he was secretly trying to relight all the candles that the wind blew out. The effort was worth it because Vivian was blown away by how beautiful it looked. They both love seafood, so Lawrence also surprised her by cooking crab for the first time. Of course, her answer was yes!


Planning their engagement was so easy for me because Vivian has an amazing sense of style, and used all the tips from my style guide. I absolutely love maxi dresses, so when she showed me both outfits, I was so excited for the session. Both of Lawrence's outfits perfectly matched hers, and he looked sharp in his solid colors. Another bonus was that Vivian brought their super cute dog, did her hair and makeup trial on the same day, and brought a bouquet with a long flowy ribbon. My brides are the best! I was in photography heaven with all these wonderful details.
