Downtown Los Angeles DoubleTree Hilton Garden Wedding | Tina + Raul

One by one, Tina took a moment from her wedding to personally give her closest friends and family a kraft box neatly wrapped with a pastel purple bow. Each time the recipient opened the gift, the result was the same. Tina did such a great job picking gifts for each person in the months before the wedding that the person receiving the gift would start crying with joy.

This story perfectly sums up the type of person Tina is. She is thoughtful, kindhearted, and brings joy to everyone around her. When I met Raul, I could tell that he was the same way. Whenever they had to make any decision with me regarding their wedding photography, his first instinct was always to look at her. His number one priority is always her. He shares the same caring personality as her, and that is one of the biggest reasons why I think they are perfect for each other!

It was a sunny day for their Downtown Los Angeles DoubleTree Hilton Kyoto Garden wedding. The wedding details reminded me of Disney's Tangled because of the lantern centerpieces, and pastel purple and pink theme. Tina also looked like a princess in her Mori Lee wedding gown. One of my favorite types of venues to shoot are garden weddings because of all the greenery!

They opted to get married on a Friday, so they could have a small intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. This was one of the smallest weddings that I've shot so far, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The day was so relaxed, and the small guest count allowed me to get to know many of their friends and family. Their wedding ended pretty early because it was a lunch wedding, and I was happy because that meant an hour of portrait time with the bride and groom after everyone left! Since the lighting was harsher in the daytime, we were able to get softer dreamier photos after the wedding as it got closer to sunset.

I'm so thankful to have met Tina and Raul, and their friends and family. Everyone made me feel so welcome, and that reminds me of why I love shooting weddings! They even joked that I was like a bridesmaid since my dress was in the same color scheme as the wedding. Thanks so much to Tina and Raul for choosing me as your wedding photographer, and congrats again on your beautiful day.
